Promoting Online Safety for Children and Families in Chamchamal: A Partnership Between Violet Organization and SEED, Supported by Safe Online
Strengthening Online Safety Through Family Engagement and Partnership
On the occasion of Safer Internet Day (9 February 2026), Violet Organization brought children and their caregivers together in Chamchamal for an awareness-raising and skills-building session focused on creating safer online experiences for children.
Delivered through the partnership between Violet Organization and SEED, the session provided a space for children and caregivers to learn, exchange experiences, and strengthen their understanding of online safety. The activities focused on practical prevention strategies, building trust and open communication within families, and identifying where to seek support when online risks arise.
Recognizing that children’s online safety is a shared responsibility, the initiative encourages caregivers and children to learn together, communicate openly, and develop the knowledge and skills needed to navigate the digital world more safely.
This initiative forms part of SEED’s efforts to strengthen the prevention of and protection from online harm through the piloting of the Connected Safely Toolkit for NGOs, made possible with support from Safe Online.
Through this partnership, Violet Organization contributes to broader efforts to promote child protection, strengthen family awareness, and build safer digital environments for children and young people.
From Chamchamal to the wider world, protecting children online starts with awareness, trusted relationships, and collective action. By connecting community-based initiatives with global child-protection priorities, Violet Organization remains committed to supporting safer, more inclusive environments where every child can learn, grow, and participate with greater confidence.
