Violet in Tech with IQ company (2024)
The Violet in Tech initiative aims to bolster female participation in the technology sector for 92 girls from 27th July to 26th September 2024. The program empowers girls and women to develop their skills, make connections with like-minded peers, and engage in competitive, technology-focused events.
The second round of the Violet in Tech program, sponsored by IQ, features an expanded and more diverse curriculum, including courses in graphic design, photography, digital marketing, and UI/UX design, as well as training on Google Apps and Microsoft Services.
Graphic Design 2024
The first course of Girls and Technology Program courses was a seven-day graphic design course from 27th July to 3rd August, which was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Farman Participants received comprehensive training in design principles and the utilization of Photoshop tools.
They explored the application of various colors and shapes and gained proficiency in creating flyers, business cards, curricula vitae, and all forms of digital and printed designs. The course was sponsored by IQ Company.

The second course program was photography from 27th July to 3rd August, which was supervised by the esteemed trainer, Mr. Farman. In the photography course, participants became acquainted with various types of cameras and stands, as well as the diverse categories of lenses.
Additionally, the importance of composition, lighting, and the different techniques of photography was emphasized. Following this, the methodology for editing images was presented.

Ui/Ux Desgin course
The third course of the Girls and Technology program is UI/UX Design from 8th to 19th September. Under the guidance of the esteemed instructor, Mrs. Saz Luqman, for a duration of 10 days, the participants underwent a comprehensive training program focused on UI/UX design. This course covered the following: ideation techniques for solving users’s problems and issues, user journeys, sketching ideas and solutions, and designing wireframes to create a good user experience. Elements and principles of UI design in a beautiful and organized way. All of this has been done in a practical way for participants. This course was sponsored by IQ Company.
Digital Marketing course
The fourth course of Girls and Technology, sponsored by Bricklane Company, was Digital Marketing from 23rd to 24th September, which was supervised by the esteemed trainers, Ms. Banu Mohammed and Ms. Maria Azad.
The course covered the significance of digital marketing in today’s world and how global brands are responding to it. It then shifted focus to Iraq, exploring how brands are adopting these strategies and how to apply these practices to social media in line with international standards.
The fifth course of girls and technology was Fundamental of Agile Ecosystem Using Google and Microsoft Course for this year’s Girls and Technology have commenced ,which was be supervised by the esteemed Trainers ,Mr.Shaswar Shali in 3 days long trainings the course covered Introduction to Agile Project Management, Overview of Agile methodology, Principles and values of Agile, Key differences between Agile and traditional project management, Scrum Methodology, Introduction to Scrum framework, Scrum roles: Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team, Scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospective, Creating and managing the product backlog.

The fifth course of girls and technology was Fundamentals of Agile Ecosystem Using Google and Microsoft courses for this year’s Girls and Technology has commenced, from 25th to 26th September, which will be supervised by the esteemed trainer, Mr. Shaswar Shali, in 3 days of long training.
