Girls and Technology: Empowering the Next Generation in Tech
As part of Violet Stage, Violet Organization hosted the Girls and Technology event, a milestone in advancing young women’s participation in the tech industry. This event celebrated the achievements of 98 participants who successfully completed specialized courses in Graphic Design, Photography, UI/UX Design, Digital Marketing, and Microsoft Office & Google Apps. These young women showcased their projects in teams, demonstrating their skills and creativity.
The event also featured an inspiring stage session with distinguished speakers from various fields of technology. Shinyar Salam, President of Violet Organization, opened with a welcoming speech, introducing Violet’s mission and commitment to women in tech. Mr. Heman Yones, representing iQ Group, the program’s main sponsor, emphasized the importance of investing in young women’s technological education.
The session continued with Hanar Salh, Project Manager at Meed Foundation, who delivered an inspiring talk on Robotics and its growing role in modern industries. Mr. Heman Yones returned to present The World of Design, offering insights on career opportunities for young girls. Lare Fadhil, a Full Stack Developer, followed with a discussion on The Future of Technology, highlighting emerging trends and opportunities in the field. Mina Nabaz, Project Manager at Violet Organization, shared a presentation on the growth of the Girls and Technology program from 2023 to 2024, highlighting the increase in participation. She also discussed future plans for 2025, focusing on upcoming goals and initiatives to expand the program further.
At the end of the event, participants of each course were awarded certificates, recognizing their dedication and achievements.
